Different, not decorated

Eleven rooms in a building that was never regular, so no two are the same size and three are an awkward shape. Rather than disguising that, each room takes its proportions as the starting point: the narrow ones get a single long window seat, the tall ones get the wardrobe on the wall you do not see from the bed. Nothing is themed. A themed room is a room that has stopped being about the building.

Room nine is the smallest and books out first. It has one window, one chair and nowhere to put a suitcase, which guests describe as charming and the operator describes as lucky.
Eleven bathrooms, three layouts
The one with the original window
One joinery detail runs through all eleven rooms and absorbs every difference in width. It is the only thing here that was drawn once and built eleven times.

The landing, which is the only room everyone sees.

The pub below stayed open for the whole build, which set the working hours and, in the end, the palette.
